This sample set includes six of our most popular finishes: Belgium Grey, Medium Brown, Rustic Pine, Dark Oak, Tudor Oak, and Walnut. Designed exclusively for our handcrafted Drinks Cabinets, these colour swatches allow you to see the rich tones and textures in person before placing your order.

Each sample is hand-finished to match our final product, helping you select the shade that best complements your home décor. Please note: These finishes are only applicable to our range of Drinks Cabinets and may not be suitable for other furniture items.

The majority of our products are crafted from European softwoods, carefully selected for their distinctive natural grain and character. As a natural material, the wood may feature small knots, variations in grain and minor imperfections. These natural characteristics are not flaws; they add individuality and charm to every piece.

To enhance and protect the natural beauty of the timber, all wood surfaces are finished with two coats of high-quality Hard Wax Oil. This brings out the depth and character of the grain while providing a durable, hard-wearing finish with a smooth, natural feel.

Each piece is therefore unique, with the natural variations in the timber complemented by our carefully selected range of wood colours and finishes.

Finish & Material Characteristics

The majority of our metalwork is carefully coated with a clear lacquer to enhance its durability and appearance. This coating not only provides protection but also gives the steel a slightly darker, more refined look.

Our steel is purchased in batches, and while we do our best to use material from the same batch for each piece of furniture, this isn't always possible. As a result, slight variations in colour, tone, and surface texture may occur between pieces or even within a single item. These subtle differences are a natural characteristic of the material and contribute to the uniqueness of each product.

Because the steel is finished with a clear lacquer rather than an opaque coating, natural marks, blemishes, and small areas of rust may remain visible beneath the surface, adding to the authentic, industrial charm of the piece.

Hot Rolled Steel – Side & Back Panelling

In certain products such as our home bars and drinks cabinets, we use hot rolled steel sheet for side and back panelling. This type of steel sheet has a distinct dark blue-grey finish due to the mill scale oxide that forms during the manufacturing process. The unique cooling process during production allows the metal to oxidise, resulting in slight colour variations across each sheet. This means that every one of our products is truly one-of-a-kind, showcasing the natural beauty of hot rolled steel.
